In the next version... Paintings, Cars and Exhibitions

In the Movie Business in addition to production of movies, from the very beginning there was an opportunity to spend cash on luxury. In the first part of the game it was the cars, immovables and even airplanes. In the second one, there are auctions where you can buy works of art. This functionality, Judging by the trophies earned by players, do not enjoy a particularly high interest. I must admit, however,, that my "mission" is to create a game, which also has educational value. In the case of X. muse is to get known with perhaps less popular but important and valued, or simply iconic creators (probably you have noticed, that set of the creators in the game is very wide: from teen idols, iconic heroes from tv series, by the biggest stars of Hollywood, the legend of the film till creators of the mainstream cinema. and independent productions).

Similarly, I would like to play in educating other fields of art ... specifically painting. Yes, finally (because this feature was, of course, planned from the very beginning) paintings will be visuallized by photos. So you can see what you buy at auction. In the next version. Production with investor

Another problem, who is trying to resolve in the nearest version is a quick bankruptcy player at the beginning of the game. It is often the case, that after two failed productions at the very beginning of the game, the player does not have the ability to rebound from the bottom, What can be frustrating, especially for those who are just starting their adventure with the Film Business. One solution to this problem is to introduce deals executive producer about which I wrote before. Today about another option "production with the investor".

Currently in the Movie Business player in financial trouble, in desperation, can use the help of the mafia. Movie Business is not a game in which you will find too many fancy features. By "fancy features" I understand such features, which do not affect in any way enhancement of game mechanics, and these are only the audiovisual gimmicks. Hence, the game looks like it looks like… In the new version I decided to enhance it with a “fancy feature”. It will be the visualization of special effects. How it will work?

In the next version. Production report

One of the more frequent complaints relation to the game, ranked mainly by beginners, is its randomness. Randomness by itself is not a problem but the fact, that often the Player cannot see the consequences of this randomness (apart from the final assessment of the film). Such a situation occurs e.g.. during production of the film, when there are many calculations and some of them depends on some random coefficients. While some of them are visible to player (such as. star rating of the performance of a creator) the others are nowhere shown.

The antidote for improving the current situation is "production report" published after the production is finished and show in detail several so far not visible pseudo random decisions , that ultimately affected the final result of the film.

This report is intended to facilitate understanding of the player why the movie came out so, and not otherwise. Not always the production report will contain some information – sometimes it can be empty (this means, that there was not undesired random elements in addition to the performance artists).

Such a report could come in handy in the future, When new features appear ... but more on that in next episodes.


In the next version… Executive Producer

All followers of social network (Facebook / Google ) official profiles of the game already know, that next version is coming. Today it is time for the first details related to next release. The first one goes so called, Executive Producer.

The idea of executive producer appeared inspired by the comments from the author Level Design for beginners Jack Wesolowski. He drew attention, that MF2 doesn't allow for safe experimentation. Wrong decisions at the beginning of the game will result in a rapid defeat and discouragement among the beginners. Remedy for it was introduced recently short films ... They are cheaper to produce what in practice means taking less risk. Unfortunately, it looks like, that this idea was ultimately not good enough in practice.
