I haven't seen any issues or bugs yet. Career mode is way more challenging than before now that you have actually earn promotion.
Still adjusting to:
- I think the AI also makes your films fail more often. And Sundance for me seems to the hardest to achieve. Even with your hint.
- All the different kinds of roles like femme fatale, villain, action hero etc. It's more challenging to cast.
- One thing I really enjoyed before was that a random 1-2 star celeb could rise to higher fame quickly if the right roles are picked. So trying to figure out if this random encounter can still occur. I love the idea that random celebs can grow with the game and due to a certain set of circumstances become Hollywood Royalty. In the previous version at one point, I had Ali Larter as the biggest star in Hollywood.
What I have enjoyed:
- Stars getting mad if you switch them for a bigger name when a production begins.
- Seth Rogen winning a Best Actor Oscar for a Judd Apatow film. That's hysterical!
- The new award presentations. Love those!
- The keywords for every script. It gives you an idea of what the movie is about. Then I can fix the title.
- Actors not willing to do nudity for a film and then protesting. That is a good realism thing too. You just don't get the option to recast.
ADDITIONS:
- CHEMISTYRY: One I would suggest at this point is working on actors who have worked well together. And directors who have worked well with actors. I find when you make a sequel you get the chemistry numbers but you never get that when casting. Let's say Ali Larter and Paul Wesley did a movie for another studio together and had good chemistry. If I cast them together it would be good to know that. Or if a director and an actor hate each other it would be good to know that. Maybe the assistant can warn the player.
- HALTING PRODUCTION: Let's say there is alot of cast fighting with each other on your movie. Or the director complains about an actor. Maybe your assistant can report it. And give you the option to halt production and recast.
- REWRITES: How about also the ability to do rewrites like you do with editing or fixing a trailer. If you have a good writing team then your percentage to fixing the script might be high. Movies constantly do rewrites on the fly.
Hope this helps and thanks so much for the game! The upgrade is super challenging and getting more realistic with every upgrade.

First of all thank you very much for feedback. I really appreciate it and needed. Because if somebody says every feature is great it is nice to hear from pure vanity but it will not improve the game in any way. So constructive feedback is really required.
I haven't seen any issues or bugs yet.
Unfortunately there are some of them (build in game reporting system shows that they exist) but I am not sure how they manifest to players (looks that most of them are internal one which do not affect the gameplay just some logic in the game).

That is probably true because I didn’t work too much about improvements of AI. So as some rules of the games was slightly change AI not adapting to it.
For Sundance I do not think it is the most hardest to achieve. There are two hint in fact:
- 10 mln budget for production
- all creators needs to have popularity less than 3*.
The rest it only matter of how much good movie you will make (which of course may be tricky).
But if you think about the AIM on the career mode.. yes I have also some problem with it (that is the reason that you need to complete 18 out of 20 aims on amateur level 😉
- All the different kinds of roles like femme fatale, villain, action hero etc. It's more challenging to cast.
hmm.. so I think it is good… and you can always use neutral role if you do not want to play with character types (the game will behave as previously)

Nothing change here… (and it is not so random it based a bit on stats 😉

I think there two cases where similar event may occur and for one of them you definitely has full control of action (it was shown on summary blog post related to release of 2019 game and there were even screenshot for this - unfortunately for Polish version)

In fact you can check it but it is not clearly describes on user interface… check this link
BTW it looks that there is missing translations for Relations in the windows.
You have all information about relations:
Relations: producer (you) -> person
Bond: person -> director (currently choosen)
Chemistry: persons on the same type of role (so first actor with first actor, and composer with operator)
I needs to finish help for this part as this one is still missing and I am aware that some of the things on UI are not self explanatory).
- HALTING PRODUCTION: Let's say there is alot of cast fighting with each other on your movie. Or the director complains about an actor. Maybe your assistant can report it. And give you the option to halt production and recast.
Unfortunately I didn’t plan such feature because it is completely against the current rules of the games… and simply implementation of this is too time consuming and error pron comparing to benefits which it brings. Unless I will find some idea how to do it with some trick which do not flip-down all the game rules.
- REWRITES: How about also the ability to do rewrites like you do with editing or fixing a trailer. If you have a good writing team then your percentage to fixing the script might be high. Movies constantly do rewrites on the fly.
The problem with rewriting is such that again affects the whole decision which you made before…
Please note that script has main parameters genre, sex, humor, violence/action. Their a the main one based on which you make a decision about the cast. If you change it drastically your cast will not fit to the roles…
You select the cast based on the script properties… so if I allow to change drastically script during production you previous decision as a player will be meaningless…
Currently there are some event which affects the script (at least some parameters). And I think this is enough to not break some basic rules of the game.
Hope this helps and thanks so much for the game! The upgrade is super challenging and getting more realistic with every upgrade.
